Darwin graduated from Englewood High School in Chicago, Illinois and Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, playing football at both schools. After graduating from Morgan State University, he entered the field of financial service, where he remains.

In September, 1978, Darwin started as a registered representative for Waddell & Reed. He has obtained numerous licenses in the field of financial services. In 1980, Mr. Yarborough, became a Waddell & Reed District Manager, where he remained until 1986 when he was promoted to Division Manager. In 2006, Darwin retired from management and returned as a Financial Advisor. Currently he mentors and assists numerous clients, advisors, businesses and church groups on financial issues and developments.

From 1989 to 2002, Darwin broadcasted every Monday on V-103/102.7 FM, providing information about financial services to the public. He has also been a guest on local Chicago television stations as well. Darwin currently conducts Seminars/Workshops on Financial Planning.

Darwin K. Yarborough is father to five (5) sons, of which one is Ryan Yarborough, who played for the New York Jets and the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Mr. Yarborough is quite active within his church and the church finance ministry. Various activities within his 25 years of service at New Faith International Baptist Church are the Men’s Ministry, teaching Bible study classes and New Member Classes on Financial Stewardship.

Darwin has participated in the Chicago Board of Education Readers are Leaders Program, reading to groups of youth in Chicago Public School Classes each month for 3 years. He is a member of Morgan State University Alumni and serves on the Englewood High School Alumni Committee.

In his spare time, he runs and walks every chance he gets in preparation for running the Chicago marathon for the past 6 years and is signed up for this year’s marathon.
